The All-New Ram 1500 Rumble Bee
The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is Ram’s new dedicated muscle truck, created for buyers who want road-focused performance, serious V8 character and rare factory identity in a full-size pickup. It revives a name with real enthusiast weight, but this is not an off-road TRX or RHO replacement. It is a street truck first, built around stance, acceleration, grip and theatre.
A famous Ram name returns
Ram last used the Rumble Bee name roughly two decades ago on the Ram 1500 SRT10, the 8.3-litre V10 truck widely known as the Viper truck, with 500 hp and a reputation that still matters today. The new model brings that spirit forward with a far more focused line-up.
As detailed by Motor1, the Rumble Bee is being positioned as its own muscle and street truck subsegment. Cars.com also reports a four-variant range, with HEMI V8 and Hellcat-derived performance at the top.
Shorter, wider and built for the road
The new Rumble Bee is offered only as a Quad Cab with a 5.5-foot short bed, a first for Ram in this configuration. The frame is shortened by 13 inches between the axles compared with a standard Ram 1500, giving it a tighter, more purposeful footprint.
Overall length is approximately 219.5 inches, with width at 88 inches. That width comes from TRX-sourced flared fenders, with track width up to 7 inches wider than standard. It gives the truck a broad, planted look without turning it into an off-road model.
Four Rumble Bee variants
Ram is planning four versions, each with a different level of power and hardware:
- Rumble Bee, with a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 producing 395 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 410 lb-ft at 3,950 rpm, reaching 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.6 seconds at 93 mph.
- Rumble Bee 392, with a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 producing 470 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 455 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm, the first use of this engine in a light-duty 1500. It reaches 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
- Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack, using the same 6.4-litre engine, with four-corner air suspension and more focused track hardware.
- Rumble Bee SRT, with a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI, Hellcat-derived, producing 777 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 680 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm. Ram targets 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, an 11.6-second quarter mile at 116 mph and a top speed of 170 mph.
Performance hardware with everyday control
Every Rumble Bee uses an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox, full-time all-wheel drive, paddle shifters, launch control and a rear-wheel-drive disconnect button. That means the truck is not simply about straight-line output. It is designed to give the driver control over how that power reaches the road.
Base and 392 models use steel coil-spring suspension with Bilstein monotube shocks. Track Pack and SRT models step up to four-corner air suspension, set 1.5 inches lower, with Bilstein Damptronic Sky adaptive dampers, an electronic locking or spool differential, and dedicated Track and Valet drive modes.
Brakes, wheels and road grip
The braking package also moves up with each level. Rumble Bee and 392 models get 14.9-inch vented front discs with two-piston calipers. Track Pack and SRT versions receive 16.1-inch front rotors, six-piston Brembo calipers and brake-cooling ducts.
Track Pack and SRT models also add a front splitter, brake ducts and rear spoiler. The SRT’s lateral grip is quoted at 0.89G, more than 20 percent better than the base model. Wheels are 22×10 inches on the Rumble Bee and 392, rising to 22×12 inches on Track Pack and SRT, the widest wheel and tyre combination Ram has offered on a production truck.
Colours, cabin and technology
Exterior colours include Detonator Yellow, Molten Red and Ceramic Gray, with Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat available on the SRT Blacktop package. Matte-black bonnet graphics and angry bee bed graphics are available, with bee badging varying by trim.
Inside, the Rumble Bee gains a flat-bottom performance steering wheel with paddle shifters, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and Uconnect touchscreen technology. Screen size starts at 8.4 inches, rises to 12 inches on the 392, and reaches 14.5 inches on the SRT.
The 392 adds 10-way power cloth seats with Prowler Yellow stitching. Track Pack models receive 12-way power leather and suede seats. The SRT brings Natura Plus leather and suede, Desert Orange stitching, a suede headliner, carbon fibre deco trim, Harman Kardon audio, plus optional head-up display and 360-degree camera.
Availability for UK buyers
The 5.7-litre Rumble Bee is due to arrive in late 2026, with 392 and SRT variants following in the first half of 2027. Rumble Bee and 392 models also retain useful truck capability, with towing up to approximately 8,890 lb and payload up to approximately 1,160 lb.
